Our Father/Daughter Workout


Pilates has been a part of my children’s life since all four of them were born. Ever since they were babies, they have come to all my different studios over the years.

As a parent I believe it is important to expose children to a consistent fitness routine. This enables them to concentrate and take care of themselves as teenagers and adults. Joe Pilates stated in his book, “Patience and persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor. Practice your exercises diligently with the fixed and unalterable determination that you will permit nothing else to sway you from keeping faith with yourself.” I see in my children’s lives that they have learned this.

A disciplined Pilates routine is key to keeping my body young so that I can continue to enjoy physical activities with my kids. As a father in my mid 50’s I can still engage in rigorous activities with my 20-year-old kids and my teenagers. This brings myself and my kids much joy. I am happy that I have had Pilates to share with my family.
