Our first week of The Movement of Resistance took us through a bit of thinking on the concept and the NEED for resistance in life and movement. We further this concept in week 2 with “Friction as a Catalyst”, but first we take a look at how Black History Month has evolved. (3 videos below)
This week we focus on connection in the whole shape and the definition of resistance meaning, “looking for opposition.” Pilates exercise is always discussing the oppositional points in the body and we will explore a very simple exercise called leg slides and how it impacts the body as a whole. We will also add a roller to this movement pattern and exploration to further the need for Friction as a Catalyst.
We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so feel free to find us in our bios below and stay in touch.
