Balanced Body Education: A Fresh Digital Frontier

Balanced Body Education: A Fresh Digital Frontier

With change comes unavoidable speed bumps but also powerful possibilities. If you are a student, you may have come across a speed bump or two this summer while registering or attending one of our courses. Balanced Body has upgraded its internal education IT system and some of our administrative functionality was temporarily impacted, and our response times slowed. However, with the hard work of our internal IT and education teams, the support of Ken and our Educators, Balanced Body Education is primed and ready for an eventful 2024.

The first of our 2024 education initiatives will be to bring you a state-of-the-art community wide education portal. As an industry, we have realized just how powerful and impactful digital tools can be, especially as they apply to Pilates and Pilates education. We have seen this and in response, we have been developing a fresh new digital platform as a complement to the new Pilates.com website. Initially, this platform will be a seamless and unparalleled user experience designed for our students, graduates, Authorized Training Centers, and Balanced Body Educators, to enrich the Pilates education experience. Beyond this, we are crafting this platform to also support our industry partners and leaders because we are far better when we work collaboratively and collectively. We will start testing with our educators shortly and be inviting students into the site for testing. It’s MUCH more than a container that holds information and materials or video on demand. It promotes interaction, community, learning, growth, and partnership with others. We are so excited and will be even more excited to have you experience it.

We believe Pilates education is a responsibility to a profession, and yes we are a profession. With this comes the responsibility to maintain integrity in learning and encourage the sharing of ideas. Our digital tools should never replace or take away from the in-person experience but should augment and support ongoing growth and development. From our core Pilates curriculum to deeper dives in anatomy, for business growth and development or for unique CEC opportunities, the Balanced Body Education portal is designed to be a comprehensive place to stay engaged at all levels in your movement career.

This is a massive undertaking, and we still have some work to do to smooth out those initial IT speedbumps, but I am very confident that during the first quarter of 2024, you will be seeing and hearing much more about the opportunities that will spring from the educational universes this state-of-the-art portal will provide.

Stay tuned for more coming soon on this exciting new endeavor, and thank you for your patience with us. We can’t wait to embark on this new digital frontier together.
